Dispute Overview

Understanding when and how to file a dispute on LawChain.

Try Communication First

Before filing a dispute, always try to resolve issues directly with the other party. Many problems can be solved through clear communication.

What is a Dispute?

A dispute is a formal request for LawChain to intervene when you and the other party cannot resolve an issue. When you file a dispute:

  • • Funds are frozen in escrow
  • • Both parties can submit evidence
  • • Our team reviews and makes a fair decision
  • • Escrow funds are distributed based on the outcome

When to File

Clients May File When

  • • Work quality doesn't meet expectations
  • • Deadlines were missed
  • • Lawyer is non-responsive
  • • Work differs from agreed scope

Lawyers May File When

  • • Client refuses valid work
  • • Scope changed without agreement
  • • Client is non-responsive
  • • Unreasonable revision requests

Free Service

Dispute resolution is included at no extra cost. We provide neutral arbitration to protect both clients and lawyers.
