Set up your profile, get verified, and start accepting clients on LawChain. Follow this guide to maximize your visibility and grow your practice.

Already in our directory?
If you received a claim link or see your name in our directory, you can claim your existing profile instead of creating a new account. Look for the "Claim Profile" button on your listing.
Complete Your Profile (3 Steps)
After registration, you'll be guided through a 3-step onboarding process to create your professional profile.
Step 1: Professional Information
- Bar Number: Your California State Bar number (e.g., 123456)
- Law Firm: Your firm name, or leave blank if solo practitioner
- Years of Experience: How long you've been practicing
- Hourly Rate: Your standard hourly rate in USD
- Location: Your city in California
Step 2: Practice Areas & Languages
- Specializations: Select at least 1 practice area (up to all that apply)
- Family Law, Criminal Defense, Business Law, Real Estate, Immigration, Personal Injury, Employment Law, IP, Tax Law, Estate Planning, Civil Litigation, Bankruptcy, Healthcare Law, Environmental Law
- Languages: Optional - select all languages you speak
Step 3: Bio & Summary
- Professional Bio: A detailed description of your background, experience, and approach
- Tip: Include your education, notable cases (without confidential details), and what makes you unique
Profile Tips for Success
- • Use a professional headshot (you can upload after onboarding)
- • Write a compelling bio that highlights your expertise
- • Be specific about your practice areas
- • Set a competitive hourly rate for your market
Get Verified
Verification adds a trust badge to your profile, showing clients that you're a legitimate California attorney. Verified lawyers get significantly more client inquiries.

We verify your Bar number against the California State Bar registry

Our team reviews your profile for completeness and accuracy

Once approved, you'll see a green checkmark on your profile
Timeline:Verification typically takes 1-2 business days. You'll receive an email notification when your profile is verified.
Set Up Stripe Connect for Payouts
To receive payments from clients, you'll need to connect your Stripe account. This is a one-time setup that enables fast, secure payouts.
Go to Dashboard > Payments
Click "Set Up Payouts"
Complete Stripe onboarding
You'll need to provide bank account details and verify your identity
Start receiving payments!
Payments are deposited to your bank within 2-3 business days
Browse Cases & Accept Clients
Once set up, you can start finding cases in two ways:
Browse Open Cases
Go to Dashboard > Browse Cases to see cases posted by clients looking for lawyers.

- • View case details and budgets
- • Express interest in relevant cases
Receive Client Requests
Clients can find your profile and invite you to their cases directly.
- • Get notified of new case invitations
- • Review case details before accepting
- • Accept or decline invitations
Complete Work & Get Paid
Working on Cases
- Communicate with your client through in-case messaging
- Share documents as needed
- Complete work for the current milestone
- Submit the milestone for client approval
Getting Paid
- Client reviews your submitted work
- Client approves and releases payment from escrow
- You receive 99% of the milestone amount (1% platform fee)
- Funds deposited to your bank via Stripe (2-3 business days)
Guaranteed Payment
Funds are secured in escrow before you begin work. Once you complete the work and the client approves, payment is guaranteed.
