Messaging Your Lawyer

Use LawChain's built-in messaging system to communicate securely with your lawyer about your case.

Secure Communication

All messages are encrypted and stored securely. Your conversations are private and only visible to you and your lawyer.

How to Send a Message

    Go to Your Case

    Dashboard → My Cases → Select case

  2. 2

    Click the Messages Tab

    Or go to Dashboard → Messages and select the conversation

  3. 3

    Type Your Message

    Enter your message in the text field

  4. 4

    Send

    Click Send or press Enter

Receive email alerts when your lawyer sends a message

See unread message count in your dashboard sidebar

You can manage notification preferences in Settings.

Best Practices

  • Keep all case-related communication within LawChain for documentation
  • Be clear and specific in your questions
  • Respond promptly to keep your case moving
  • Use messages to discuss scope changes or concerns
  • Attach documents when relevant (use the Documents section for large files)
