Resolution Outcomes
Possible outcomes when a dispute is resolved.
Possible Outcomes
Full Refund to Client
100% of milestone funds returned to the client.
Used when: Work was not delivered or significantly failed to meet requirements.
Partial Refund
A percentage is returned to the client, the rest goes to the lawyer.
Used when: Some work was completed satisfactorily but not all.
Full Release to Lawyer
100% of milestone funds released to the lawyer.
Used when: Work met requirements but client unreasonably withheld approval.
Mutual Cancellation
Both parties agree to cancel. Funds returned to client with no fault assigned.
Used when: Both parties agree the engagement should end without blame.
Fair Decisions
Our team makes decisions based on evidence, the original agreement, and what's fair for both parties.
After Resolution
- Both parties are notified of the decision
- Funds are distributed per the outcome
- The dispute is marked as resolved
- Case can continue or be closed
